VICTORIAN, COLLECTION OF MOURNING BROOCHES


Including two brooches with black enamel, and a third with black enamel and seed pearls. Yellow gold and low karat gold. 1 5/8 x 1 3/8 inches, 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches, and 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches.

Condition
Overall Condition: Scratches, wear, and discoloration to metal throughout consistent with age and use. Discoloration to some seed pearls. Both of the scalloped edge brooches are hand engraved on the back. The back of the rectangular brooch has two small dents on the back and one dent by the hinge. Acid test indicates rectangular brooch is 14 karat gold and remaining two brooches are low karat gold.
